Karatzis Group: A Message of Unity, Growth, and Awards at the New Year’s Cake-Cutting Event

From Nana Royal to Pantheon Waterpark & Suites: Karatzis Group Strengthens Crete’s International Position

ITB Berlin 2026 in Berlin, the most important international tourism exhibition worldwide, serves as the premier meeting point for the global tourism industry. At the 2026 event, Karatzis Group makes a strong presence with its own dedicated stand, presenting the upgraded portfolio of Nana Hotels and its strategy to further strengthen Greek luxury hospitality.

At the center of the Group’s presence are its three privately owned five-star resorts — Nana Golden Beach, Nana Princess, and the new Nana Royal — which together form a comprehensive luxury hospitality cluster in the Hersonissos area of Crete.

Particular emphasis is placed on Nana Royal, which emerges from the complete renovation of the former Knossos Royal, following an investment of €50 million.

This historic resort is being repositioned in the market as a modern luxury destination, fully aligned with international trends and the expectations of today’s high-end travelers.

At the same time, the Group presents to partners and visitors at the Berlin exhibition the landmark Pantheon Waterpark & Suites project, one of the most ambitious investment plans in Greek tourism.

The themed complex, inspired by the mythology of Ancient Greece, is being developed on a 40-stremma site in the Sarandaris area of Hersonissos and is expected to open in the summer of 2026.

The development will feature 15 luxury suites and the innovative NAVATU, a groundbreaking complex of water slides, aquariums, and aerial structures reaching a height of 34 meters, aiming to become a landmark destination for themed entertainment and experiential hospitality in Southern Europe.

At the Group’s stand at ITB Berlin 2026, visitors, tour operators, and international partners have the opportunity to discover the new identity of Nana Hotels, which is built around four strategic pillars: sustainability, innovation, high-end gastronomy, and authentic Cretan experiences.

The overall value proposition is further strengthened through synergies with the Group’s private aviation sector, creating a comprehensive ecosystem of high-level services.

The General Manager of Nana Hotels, Mr. Manolis Maris, stated:

“Our participation in ITB Berlin 2026 is not just another international presence, but a strategic move toward greater international outreach.

We are presenting the new era of Nana Hotels and our investment vision, which upgrades the overall tourism product of Crete.

We firmly believe that Crete, through dynamic investments such as those of our Group, can take a leading role on the global map of luxury hospitality, and we are investing systematically in that direction.”

The Karatzis Group is currently experiencing a period of strong investment activity, with landmark projects that further strengthen its footprint in the hotel and tourism sector. With three five-star resorts in full development and new projects underway, the Group is shaping a multidimensional hospitality model that goes beyond the traditional boundaries of the hotel product.

Its strategy focuses on creating integrated experiences with high added value, while simultaneously strengthening the international image of Crete as a leading destination for luxury accommodation and authentic experiences.
